Coach Steve Wright begins his second season as the head coach of the Princeton Men’s
Basketball program. Last season, he guided the Vikings to a 23-4 overall record. For the first
time since 2010, Princeton won the Greater Miami Conference and District Title.
Wright was named the Greater Miami Conference Coach of the Year and District 16 Coach of
the Year.
The Dayton, Ohio native played collegiate basketball at Bowling Green State University where
he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Recreation. He also
attended Northern Kentucky University where he was named NCAA Division II First Team All-
American and Great Lakes Valley Conference Player of the Year in 2007. Wright averaged 16.8
points and 5.3 rebounds to help the Norse to a 24-9 record. After his collegiate career, Wright
played professionally overseas for 5 seasons for Duesseldorf, Walter Tigers, Webmoebel, NY
Phantoms, and Namika Lahti.
Steve and his wife Whitney have two daughters, Camryn (11) and Jordyn (6).
