Cincinnati Native, Former UC, Princeton '05 Star Receives Invite to Reds' Spring Training

A Cincinnati native and former baseball star at the University of Cincinnati has reportedly inked an agreement with his hometown Reds.

According to his agency MSM Sports, veteran MLB infielder Josh Harrison has received a non-roster invite to the Reds' Spring Training camp.

The Reds have not yet announced the transaction.

A native of Cincinnati, Harrison attended Princeton High School before playing three seasons with the Cincinnati Bearcats from 2006-08.

Harrison excelled on the field for UC, winning 2008 Big East Co-Player of the Year before being drafted in the sixth round of the 2008 MLB June Amateur Draft by the Chicago Cubs.

In 2009, Harrison was traded by the Cubs to the Pittsburgh Pirates, whom he debuted with in 2011 and played eight seasons with.
