Baseball Defeats Colerain 10-3

The Princeton baseball team defeated the Colerain Cardinals 10-3 to begin Greater Miami Conference play on Monday, March 27th. The Vikings improve to 2-0 overall, and 1-0 in the league.

The Vikings offense was aggressive at the plate early in the game. Princeton collected 5 hits and 6 runs over the first three innings.

Joshua Davis collected a pair of hits and a run scored in the win.

Kodey Bingham, Henry Haag, Manuel Sanchez Gonzalez, Wyatt Shaw, and Junior Veras-Vasquez each collected a hit in the game.

Senior Andrew Edrington picked up the win on the mound, tossing 4.1 innings of 1 run baseball. He struck out 9 batters and walked 4. Ryan Maloney slammed the door the final 1.2 innings yielding just 1 runner on base and striking out 3 batters.

Princeton travels to Colerain on Wednesday. First pitch is set for 5:00 PM.
