Baseball Wins on Opening Day

The Princeton varsity baseball team opened up their regular season with a 4-3 win against Cloverleaf on Sunday, March 26th at Princeton High School.

The Vikings offense plated 2 runs in the first and third innings. Senior Andrew Edrington was 2-for-3 at the plate with 1 homerun and 2 stolen bases.
 
Senior Henry Haag collected two hits, including a RBI triple. Freshman Manuel Sanchez Gonzalez knocked in a run.

On the mound, senior Carson McDaniel tossed 5.2 innings of 1 run, 4 hit baseball. He struck out 9 batters and yielded 2 walks.

Princeton returns to action on Monday, March 27th against Colerain. The Cardinals and Vikings will begin at 5:00 PM.
