The Princeton Lady Vikings defeated Ursuline 59-20 in the opening round of the sectional tournament on Tuesday, February 7th at Harrison High School. Princeton moves to 21-2 overall.
The Lady Vikings jumped out in front 19-2 after the first quarter, and led 37-5 at halftime.
Dede Carter-Hartley led the team with 20 points and 7 rebounds. La'Sonja Hill scored 15 points, and finished with 4 assists and 4 steals.
Princeton's defense forced 25 turnovers and recorded 18 steals. Sole' Williams had a game-high 5 steals. She scored 11 points and dished out 6 assists.
Kali Fortson added 4 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 steals in the win.
Princeton finished the game shooting 48 percent from the floor.Â
The Lady Vikings advance to the second round, and will play Western Hills on Monday, February 13th. The game will be played at Harrison High School at 7:00 PM. Tournament tickets are available online only by visiting www.ohsaa.org/tickets.
