The Princeton Lady Vikings basketball team picked up a hard fought conference win against Sycamore, 38-36 on Wednesday, January 18th at Sycamore High School. The win improves Princeton's overall record to 13-2, and 7-2 in the Greater Miami Conference.
The quarter scoring margin throughout the game was no more than three points. Princeton led at the half, 25-24. Both teams combined to score 25 points in the second half.
Princeton's offense was led by Dede Carter-Hartley's 11 points and 9 rebounds. Jaidyn Maiben and Kali Fortson each scored 10 points in the win.
Fortson's 11 offensive rebounds was a new season high, and she was one total rebound shy of matching her season best. The Lady Vikings won the battle of the boards, 36-20.
The Lady Vikings offense made 14 field goals on 9 assists. The team finished 27.5 percent shooting from the floor.
The defense forced 10 turnovers and the team recorded 7 steals. Carter-Hartley led all players with 3 total steals.
Sycamore finished the game shooting 13-of-37 from the floor.
