The Princeton girls basketball team bounced back from their one-point loss at the buzzer to Mason on Wednesday to defeat King's Christian (Canada) 52-41 on Saturday, January 14th. Princeton moves to 12-2 overall.
Sophomore Mari Gerton was named MVP of the game after leading the team with 20 points. She knocked down 3-of-6 three point attempts and was a perfect 7-of-7 from the free throw line. Gerton added 6 rebounds and 1 assist.
Kali Fortson set a new season high with 14 rebounds. She added 6 points and 1 steal.
Also scoring double digits was Dede Carter-Hartley with 14 points and 7 rebounds.
The Lady Vikings finished the game shooting 34 percent from the floor and the defense forced 18 turnovers.
Princeton travels to Sycamore High School on Wednesday, January 18th.
