The Princeton baseball team advanced to the District Semi-Finals after their 2-0 win at Harrison High School on Thursday, May 19th.Â
Carson McDaniel had another dominant performance on the mound for the Vikings. He threw a complete game shutout, striking out 5 Wildcats and yielding just 4 hits in the game. It marks the second consecutive start in which McDaniel has tossed a complete game and did not allow a run.
Princeton's first run came in the top of the third inning. After a base hit by Andrew Edrington and a stolen base, Jamey Spears laced a hit up the middle to score Edrington.
The Vikings would tack on an insurance run in the top of the seventh inning after two consecutive stolen bases by Edrington and a passed ball by the Wildcats.
Derrick Busch Jr., Veras Vasquez, and J'Quan Turnage each collected hits in the win.
Princeton returns to action on Tuesday, May 24th at Elder High School. The Vikings will take on Moeller at 5:00 PM.
