The Princeton baseball team defeated the West Clermont Wolves 6-2 in the first round of the Sectional Tournament on Tuesday, May 17th.
The Vikings scored 6 runs on 7 hits and had 3 errors in the game.
After an early score by the Wolves in the bottom of the second inning, Princeton's offense scored 4 runs in the Top of the 3rd.
Andrew Edrington and James Spears each blasted a triple, and led the team with two hits a piece.
After a West Clermont run in the bottom of the 3rd inning, J'Quan Turnage blasted a double to score a run in the 4th inning (his second RBI of the game).
On the mound, Edrington tossed 6 innings, allowing 4 hits, 2 runs (1 earned), 2 walks, and 10 strikeouts.
Liam Morgenroth slammed the door in the bottom of the 7th inning with a strikeout.Â
Princeton returns back in action on Thursday, May 19th against the Harrison Wildcats. The game will be played at Harrison High School at 5:00 PM.
