Vikings Defeat Broncos; Advance to Friday’s District Semi-Finals

The Princeton boys basketball team defeated the Western Brown Broncos 68-40 on Tuesday, February 22nd at Fairfield High School. The Vikings improve to 17-7 overall, and advance to play in Friday's District Semi-Finals.

Princeton jumped out to a 18-9 first quarter lead, and scored 7 points off turnovers. Isaiah Meyers scored 7 of his 9 points in the opening quarter.

Rodney Harris II scored a game high 22 points and 7 rebounds. He scored 11 second quarter points, and finished the game 10-of-11 shooting from the floor. In his last two games, Rodney has scored 45 points on 21-of-23 shooting from the floor.

Princeton made 29 field goals on 16 assists, and finished the night shooting 45 percent from the floor. The Vikings scored 33 points off the Broncos' 30 turnovers.

Riley Woods had 6 of the team's 22 steals in the win. Jaiden Arnold scored 10 points off the bench.

Dorian Williams finished with 12 points, 5 steals, and 5 rebounds.

The Vikings outrebounded the Broncos 31-25.

Princeton returns to action on Friday, February 25th against the Walnut Hills Eagles. The game will begin at 7:00 PM at Fairfield High School. Tickets are available online at www.ohsaa.org/tickets.
