Girls Basketball Moves to 3-1 on the Season

The Lady Vikings basketball team improved to 3-1 on the season after defeating Lakota West 70-25 on Wednesday, December 7th.

Princeton jumped out to a 24-5 first quarter lead and led 43-14 at the break.

Offensively, Princeton made 29 field goals (56%) on 13 assists. Sole' Williams led all scorers with 23 points. She added 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals.

Mari Gerton dished out a game-high 6 assists to go along with 7 of the team's 21 steals.

Also scoring in double-digits was Dede Carter-Hartley with 17 points and La'Sonja Hill with 11 points.

Lakota West finished the game shooting 9-of 34 from the field and forced 24 turnovers.

The Lady Vikings won the battle on the boards, 28-15. Kali Fortson led the way with 9 total rebounds, including 4 offensive rebounds.

Princeton will travel east this weekend as they will take on Panther Creek High School (NC) and Paul VI (VA) in Virginia and Washington D.C.respectively.
