Strong Start to the Swim Season for the Vikings

The Princeton high school swim season got underway last week as the Vikings hosted Lakota East/Lakota West on Tuesday, November 29th in the home opener.

Princeton set 11 new personal best times in the home meet against Lakota East and Lakota West. Both the girls and boys team finished in second place respectively with 174 and 94 team points.

Elizabeth Ehlerding won the 200 Yard Freestyle with a personal best time of 2:26.03. She finished in fifth place in the 100 Yard Backstroke.

Ava Hettinger won the 50 Yard Freestyle with a personal best time of 0:26.12, and won the 100 Yard Freestyle with a new personal best time of 0:59.90.

In the 500 Yard Freestyle, Lauren Burns won with a time of 5:55.48. She finished in third place in the 100 Yard Butterfly.

On the boys side, Brannum Shaver and Max Schutte finished in first and second place in the 50 yard freestyle respectively. Shaver's time of 25.21 was a new personal best.

Schutte and Brannum would once again finish first and second place in the 100 Yard Breaststroke with times of 1:15.84 and 1:17.68 respectively.

Cole Spradlin placed second overall in the 200 yard freestyle, and Trevor Ehlerding finished in third place in the 200 Yard IM.
