Princeton Basketball Defeats Sycamore on Friday

The Princeton High School girls and boys basketball teams hosted the Sycamore Aviators on Friday, December 2nd.

The Lady Vikings defeated Sycamore 63-29 to improve their record to 2-1 overall, and 1-1 in league play. Princeton outscored Sycamore 48-14 in the second and third quarter. Sole' Williams scored a game-high 17 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the floor. Kemari'ah Gerton added 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting, and La'Sonja Hill scored 12 points to round off the double-digit scoring for Coach Davis' offense.

Hill finished the game with 9 of the team's 22 steals in the game, as the defense forced 28 turnovers.

The Lady Vikings travel to Lakota West on Wednesday, December 7th.

In the boys game, Princeton's defense was the difference maker in the second half. Princeton rallied late to defeat Sycamore 62-57 to move to 2-0 on the season. Keven Adorno led all scorers with 22 points on 6-of-13 shooting, including 8-of-9 from the free throw line. Adorno finished the game with 7 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal.

Cliff Cass scored 11 points and Riley Woods added 10 points and a game-high 6 assists. Dorian Williams scored 7 points and a game-high 9 rebounds.

Princeton outscored Sycamore 35-24 in the second half.

The Vikings travel to Mason on Tuesday, December 6th.
