The Princeton Lady Vikings opened up the regular season with a 74-49 win against Dublin Coffman in the OGBR Journey to the Tourney hosted by Sycamore High School on Saturday, November 26th.
Senior Sole' Williams led all scorers with 34 points on 13-of-18 shooting from the floor. She finished with 7 steals, 4 rebounds, and 2 assists.
The Lady Vikings opened up a 20-12 advantage in the first quarter, and extended its lead to 44-27 at the half.
Princeton's defense forced 27 turnovers, and scored 34 points in transition. The Lady Vikings won the battle on the boards, 35-24.
Kali Fortson finished with a game high 10 rebounds, matching her game high total from a season ago. Forston added 8 points on 3-of-9 shooting.
Senior Dede Carter-Hartley knocked down a pair of three-pointers to finish with 8 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists. Senior La'Sonja Hill also added a pair of three-pointers to finish the game with 8 points, 3 steals, and 2 assists.
The Lady Vikings finished the game shooting 50 percent from the floor, and the defense limited Dublin Coffman to 18 percent shooting in the second half, 32.5 percent for the game.
