Lady Vikings Move to 8-0 in GMC

The Princeton girls varsity basketball team defeated Hamilton 74-34 on Wednesday, January 5th at Hamilton High School. The Lady Vikings improve to 8-0 in the Greater Miami Conference.
 
Princeton jumped out to a 22-4 first quarter lead and led 41-14 at halftime.

Offensively, the Lady Vikings made 30 field goals on 19 assists to finish the game shooting 48.4% from the floor. Princeton knocked down 7 three-pointers in the win.

Sole' Williams led all scorers in the game with 31 points on 11-of-24 shooting from the floor. She dished out 10 assists and was one steal shy of the triple double. 

Williams currently leads the league with 24.9 points per game and has scored 299 points over 12 games this season.

Also reaching double digit scoring for the 9th consecutive game was La'Sonja Hill. She scored 19 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field. Hill added 7 steals and 6 assists.

Kali Fortson scored a bench-high 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting for the Lady Vikings.
 
Dede Carter-Hartley had 8 of the team's 28 rebounds. She currently ranks fourth in the league with a 8.0 rebound average per game.

Defensively, Princeton forced 26 turnovers and recorded 23 steals. Hamilton finished the game shooting 48 percent from the floor, and was led by Jayden Isaacs' 13 point performance.

Princeton returns to action on Saturday, January 8th at Sycamore.
