The Princeton girls varsity basketball team defeated the Lakota West Firebirds 64-43 on Thursday, January 26th at Princeton High School. The Lady Vikings improve to 16-3 overall, and 12-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.
Princeton began the game on a 8-0 scoring run. Sole' Williams scored 20 of her game-high 28 points in the first half, and the Lady Vikings led 33-19 at the break.
Offensively, Princeton made 27 field goals on 13 assists (44.3%). In the third quarter, the Lady Vikings went on a 12-3 scoring run and eventually extended its lead to 26 points late in the second half.
Dede Carte- Hartley finished the game with 12 points, 14 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Margo Abrams scored 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor.
Defensively, Lakota West was held to 32 percent shooting from the floor. Princeton forced 12 turnovers and recorded 8 steals.
