The Princeton Lady Vikings defeated the Middletown Middies 71-29 on Wednesday, January 19th at Princeton High School. The team improves to 15-2 overall, and 11-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.
The Lady Vikings began the game on a 20-3 run and led 44-19 at halftime.
Princeton scored 30 points off turnovers, and finished the game shooting 46 percent from the floor (27-of-59).Â
Sole' Williams paced the balance scoring with 18 points on 8-of-17 shooting. Dede Carter-Hartley added 16 points and 9 rebounds, and La'Sonja Hill finished the double-digit scoring with 14 points.
Natalie Williams knocked down a pair of three-pointers to finish with 9 points. Princeton's bench outscored Middletown 14-8.
On the glass, the Lady Vikings won 33-18, and recorded 17 offensive rebounds. The second chance scoring opportunities resulted in 16 points in the game.
Middletown committed 25 turnovers and Princeton ended the game with 16 steals. The Middies shot 38 percent from the floor.
Princeton travels to Africentric High School on Saturday, January 22nd to battle Pickerington Central. The game will tip-off at 5:00 PM.
