The Princeton boys basketball team defeated the Mason Comets 71-61 on Tuesday, January 18th at Princeton High School. The win gives the Vikings a 10-5 overall record, and 6-3 mark in the Greater Miami Conference.
Princeton began the game on a 12-2 scoring run and led 40-37 at the break.
Isaiah Myers scored 16 of his game-high 19 points in the first half. He finished the game with 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 4 steals.
Princeton made 24 field goals on 16 assists (45.3%). The Vikings scored 20 second chance points and 18 points off turnovers.
The Comets went on a 14-3 run in the second half to close the gap. Mason scored 24 points off Princeton's 17 turnovers in the contest.
Riley Woods and Rodney Harris II added 11 and 10 points respectively.
Woods had 7 assists and Harris II finished with 4 rebounds and a steal.
Princeton won the rebound battle, 35-26. Dorian Williams led the way with 10 rebounds, including 8 offensive rebounds.
Defensively, the Vikings forced 18 turnovers and had 13 steals in the win.
The Vikings travel to Middletown on Friday, January 21st.
