Boys Basketball Tops Sycamore 51-42

The Princeton boys varsity basketball team defeated the Sycamore Aviators 51-42 on Tuesday, January 11th at Sycamore High School. The Vikings improve to 9-5 overall, and 5-3 in the Greater Miami Conference.

Princeton scored 22 second quarter points to erase an early 13-7 Sycamore advantage. The Vikings shot 64 percent from the field in the second quarter and led 29-28 at the half. Riley Woods led the team with 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor. He knocked down three of the team's six 3-pointers in the contest. Woods added a game high 3 assists and had 2 steals.

Princeton made 17 field goals on 8 assists to finish with a 38.6 shooting percentage. The Vikings scored 22 points in the paint.

Dorian Williams scored 7 points and had a game-high 9 rebounds. He led all players with 4 offensive rebounds in the game.

Rodney Harris II scored 9 points and 5 rebounds, and Isaiah Myers added 8 points.

The Vikings bench outscored the Aviators 6-3.

Defensively, Princeton forced 15 turnovers. They finished the game with 8 steals and 11 deflections. The Vikings scored 12 points off turnovers.

Sycamore finished the game shooting 31 percent from the field and 5-of-23 from behind the arc.
