Boys Basketball Recap: Princeton 53, Lakota East 70

The Princeton boys varsity basketball team lost to Lakota East 70-53 on Tuesday, February 2nd at Lakota East High School. The loss snaps the Vikings' 4-game win streak and drops their team record to 7-5 overall, and 6-3 in the Greater Miami Conference.

Princeton held a 33-31 advantage at the end of the first half, but the Thunderhawks outscored the Vikings 20-8 in the third quarter. Lakota East would finish the second half outscoring Princeton 39-20.

Offensively, Riley Woods led the team with 14 points, making four 3-pointers. 

Jesse Olverson scored 13 points and Rodney Harris Jr added 13 points and 8 rebounds.
 
As a team, Princeton shot 47.7 percent from the floor. The Vikings' bench was outscored 24-9 in the game.

Lakota East was led by Nate Johnson's 26 points. 

Princeton's defense forced 11 turnovers and limited Lakota East to 2-of-8 shooting from behind the arc.

The Vikings return to action Friday, February 5th against Hamilton High School.
