The Princeton girls varsity basketball team cruised to a 67-37 road win against the Middletown Middies on Saturday, December 4th. The Lady Vikings are 4-0 overall, and 2-0 in the Greater Miami Conference.
Princeton outscored Middletown 17-11 in the first quarter, and led 30-16 at the half.
The Lady Vikings made 25 field goals on 12 assists, finishing the game shooting 47 percent from the floor.
Princeton dominated the post. They out-rebounded the opposition 32-21, and the defense forced Middletown to shoot 27 percent from the field.
DeDe Carter-Hartley recorded her second double-double of the season. She finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds. It was the third game of the season that she posted double-digit rebounds.
Leading all scorers was LaSonja Hill. She scored 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor. She added 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
Sole Williams added 18 points, her fourth consecutive game scoring in double-digits. Margo Abrams led the game with 6 of the team's 15 steals. The Lady Vikings forced 24 turnovers in the win.
Princeton had a strong day shooting the basketball from behind the arc. They finished 10-of-23 from three-point rage, with five different players knocking down the long shot.
