Lady Vikings Extend Win Streak to 8 Games

The Princeton girls varsity basketball team moved to 8-0 after the team's 57-42 win over Lakota East on Saturday, December 18th at Princeton High School. The Lady Vikings currently sit atop of the conference standings.

Leading 18-12 at the half, Princeton went on a 12-2 scoring run in the third quarter to extend its largest lead 38-18.

 

LaSonja Hill was perfect from the field in the third quarter. She scored 9 of her game-high 19 points on 4-of-4 shooting. Hill finished the game 7-of-15 shooting and added a game high 6 assists.

Offensively, Princeton made 22 field goals on 16 assists. The Lady Vikings shot 39 percent from the field and knocked down 7 three-pointers. 

The Lady Vikings scored 22 points off the Thunderhawks' 20 turnovers. 

Defensively, Princeton had 16 steals and 3 blocks.

Solé Williams scored 14 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor. She recorded a game-high 5 steals and added 3 assists.

Dede Carter-Hartley scored 9 points and 6 rebounds, and Margo Abrams added 7 points and 7 rebounds. 

The Lady Vikings will jump outside of conference play and travel to Mount Notre Dame High School on Wednesday, December 22nd.
