The Princeton boys basketball team picked up their fourth win of the season after defeating the Middletown Middies 77-70 on Friday, December 17th at Viking Arena. Princeton moves to 4-2 overall, and 4-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.
The Vikings erased a four-point deficit early to hold a 30-28 lead at the half.Â
Freshman Jaiden Arnold scored a team-high 17 points off the bench. Arnold was 5-of-8 shooting from the floor, and knocked down 7-of-8 free throw attempts.Â
Princeton made 14-of-18 free throws in the second half.
Senior Rodney Harris II recorded his first double-double of the season, finishing with 16 points and 13 rebounds.
Isaiah Myers and Joey Chaney each scored 10 points. Dorian Williams finished the game with a game-high 3 steals and 2 blocks.
Offensively, Princeton made 28 field goals on 12 assists, finishing the game shooting 55% from the floor. The Vikings knocked down 7-of-20 from behind the arc.
Defensively, Princeton forced 17 turnovers and 9 steals. The Middies finished the game shooting 44 percent from the field.
