Lady Vikings Basketball Go 2-0 at Journey to the Tourney

The Princeton girls varsity basketball team traveled to Sycamore High School this past weekend to begin the regular season in the Journey to the Tourney.

On Saturday, Coach Davis and the Lady Vikings won their first game of the season, defeating Rogers Rams 76-38. 

Princeton jumped out in front 28-12 after the first quarter and did not look back, scoring 54 total points in the first half.

Sole Williams led the scoring with 28 points on 12-of-27 shooting from the floor. Margo Abrams scored 8 points and had a game-high 7 assists. 

LaSonja Hill scored 12 points and had 4 assists.
Princeton outrebounded the Rams 36-30, and the defense for the Lady Vikings forced 24 turnovers. DeeDee Carter-Hartley finished with 10 total rebounds.

On Sunday, the Lady Vikings improved their record to 2-0 after defeating the Laurel Gators 63-29. Princeton dominated the interior, scoring 44 points in the paint.



Sole Williams led all scorers with 27 points. LaSonja Hill added 15 points and a game-high 7 steals. 

Princeton outrebounded the Gators 45-31. Dee Dee Carter-Hartley finished the game with 19 rebounds. She added 5 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks.

Kali Fortson added 10 rebounds and 7 points.

The Lady Vikings defense limited the Gators to 23% shooting from the floor.
Princeton (2-0) travels to Lakota West on Wednesday, December 1st.
