Vikings Advance After 28-0 Win

The Princeton Vikings football team defeated the Walnut Hills Eagles 28-0 in the first round of the Division I Region 4 Playoffs on Friday, October 29th.

The Vikings offense generated 423 total yards.

Mekhi Lynn passed for 96 yards and 3 touchdowns. TJ Engleman rushed for 141 yards and 27 receiving yards with 2 touchdown receptions.

Jaleel Engleman finished the game with 6 catches and 75 yards. Rodney Harris Jr scored his 11th touchdown reception.

Princeton's defense limited the Eagles to 63 total yards of offense.

Chris Gillam picked off the Eagles quarterback to close out the first half, and then Ryeheim Warren came up with the interception and touchdown run in the opening possession of the third quarter.

Anas Luqman and Jaylon Stoker finished the game with 7 total tackles. Miquise Humphrey Grace led the team with 2 of the teams 4 total sacks.

Cole Walker finished 4-of-4 on extra points, and extended his conference lead with 64 total points.

The #4 Vikings (10-1) will host #12 Sycamore (6-5) in the second round of the playoffs on Friday, November 5th at 7:00 PM.
