Boys Basketball Falls to East in OT 64-59

The Princeton boys varsity basketball team lost to the Lakota East Thunderhawks in OT, 64-59. Princeton drops to 3-4 overall, and 2-2 in the Greater Miami Conference.

In a game that featured 5 ties and 4 lead changes, the Vikings led 28-22 at the half.

Lakota East outscored Princeton 15-5 in the third quarter, and 16-11 in the overtime period to secure their 6th conference win on the season.

Princeton's offense was led by Rodney Harris with 15 points and 9 rebounds. Riley Woods knocked down four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points, and Ari Turner added 11 points.

The Vikings' bench outscored the opposition 11-7. Jesse Olverson led the scoring with 11 points and 8 rebounds. 

Offensively, Princeton made 21 field goals on 12 assists to finish 45.7 percent from the floor. The Vikings outrebounded the Thunderhawks 27-22 in the game.

Lakota East finished the game shooting 56 percent from the floor. The Vikings defense forced 18 turnovers and 12 steals.

Princeton returns to action on Friday, January 22nd at home versus Fairfield.
