Lady Vikings Edge Past Colerain on Senior Day 49-46

The Princeton Lady Vikings basketball team picked up their 16th win on the season after defeating the Colerain Cardinals 49-46 on Saturday, February 1st at Princeton High School. The Lady Vikings improve to 16-4 overall, and 12-2 in the Greater Miami Conference.

Prior to the start of the game, Princeton celebrated its senior class; Darian Braddix, Ashley Thomas, Willow White, and Ashley Davis.

The game was played close all afternoon. The Lady Vikings held a 21-18 halftime lead. The second half was played even, 28-28.

Princeton was able to pull ahead of Colerain late in the fourth quarter behind Willow White's 13 points. The senior finished the afternoon shooting 5-of-10 from the floor with 4 steals and 2 assists.

Freshman Sole Williams added 12 points and 6 steals, and LaSonja Hill scored 6 points in the win.

Sophomore Kyla Oldacre had 6 rebounds and 6 blocks. Senior Ashley Davis scored 4 points to go along with her 5 steals and 3 rebounds.

Despite being outrebounded 44-24, Princeton's defense forced 34 turnovers and had 19 steals.

The Cardinals were led by Abaigeal McNally's 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Princeton returns back to action on Wednesday, February 5th at home against the Sycamore Aviators at 7:15 PM.
