Strong First Half by Vikings Leads to Team's 15th Win

The Princeton boys varsity basketball team defeated the Colerain Cardinals 65-47 on Tuesday, February 11th at Colerain High School. The Vikings improve to 15-6 overall, and 10-5 in the Greater Miami Conference. 

Princeton, who is currently in a three-way tie for third place in the league, jumped out to a big first half. The Vikings outscored the Cardinals 39-19.

Senior Kahlil Davis led the scoring with 13 points and knocked down 3-of-4 from behind the arc. Junior Greg Johnson scored 11 points on 4-of-4 shooting from the floor. He added 5 assists and 4 rebounds.

The Vikings finished the game shooting 25-of-61 (41%) from the floor, and limited the Cardinals to 33 percent.

Deairius Randle added 11 points and 4 assists off the bench.

Jaheim Thomas led the team with 7 rebounds to go along with 7 points. Defensively, Princeton forced 12 turnovers in the game.

The Cardinals were led by Jevon Tait's 17 points.

Princeton returns to action on Friday, February 14th in their home finale against the Middletown Middies at 7:15 PM. Prior to tip-off, Princeton will celebrate its' senior class of cheerleaders and basketball players.
