Lady Vikings Improve to 4-0 After 56-35 Win Over Lakota East

The Princeton Lady Vikings basketball team defeated the Lakota East Thunderhawks 56-35 on Saturday, December 12th at Princeton High School. The Lady Vikings improve to 4-0 and 3-0 in the Greater Miami Conference.

Princeton outscored Lakota East 37-17 in the second half to move to the top spot in the current conference standings.

La'Sonja Hill knocked down a pair of three-pointers in the third quarter to highlight a strong shooting performance by the team. Princeton finished the third quarter shooting 8-of-14 from the floor. 

Hill finished the game with 12 points. Dede Carter-Hartley scored 12 points, 6 rebounds, 4 blocks, and 1 steal.

Taryn Cash added 10 points off 4-of-4 shooting from the floor, including 2-of-2 from behind the arc.

Defensively, Princeton limited Lakota East to 15 percent shooting from the floor. The Lady Vikings forced 22 turnovers and had 15 steals. The team recorded 7 block shots.

Princeton returns to action on Monday, December 14th at home against Mount Notre Dame at 7:30 PM.
