Boys Basketball Wins 5th Straight; Defeats Colerain 65-52

The Princeton boys varsity basketball team extended its winning streak to five with a 65-52 win over the Colerain Cardinals on Tuesday, January 7th at Princeton High School. The Vikings improve to 6-3 overall, and 3-3 in the Greater Miami Conference.

Princeton outscored Colerain 18-9 in the second quarter to take a 33-26 lead into the locker room. The offense continued to be impressive in the third quarter, scoring 21 points. The defense limited the opposition to just 7-fourth quarter points to secure the win.

Offensively, Bowen Hardman led the charge with 17 points on 6-of-12 shooting from the floor. He connected on three of the team's 6-three pointers in the game.

Deairius Randle, Blitz 5 Primetime Performer, scored 14 points. He added 5 assists and 3 steals. Randle has now scored 10 points or more in 7 of the team's 9 games. He is shooting 53.8% from the floor.

Also reaching double digits in scoring was Sterling Berkhalter with 13 points on 6-of-9 shooting.

Princeton received a great spark by Jahiem Thomas. He finished with a game-high 14 rebounds, including 6 offensive boards. Thomas added 4 points, 3 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block.

The Vikings made 25 field goals on 17 assists. The defense forced 17 turnovers and finished the night with 12 steals.
