Lady Vikings Basketball Wins Their 8th Straight Game; Defeat Fairfield 55-36

The Princeton Lady Vikings basketball team defeated the Fairfield Indians 55-36 on Saturday, January 4th at Princeton High School. The Lady Vikings have won 8 straight games and are currently 8-3 overall, and 5-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.

Princeton outscored Fairfield 17-8 in the second quarter to take a 32-20 lead at half time.

Kyla Oldacre scored all of her team-high 13 points in the first half. She finished the game with 10 rebounds, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. It marks her third double-double on the season, and her sixth game in which she recorded 2 or more block shots.

The Lady Vikings began the second half with 16 third quarter points, doubling up the opposition.

Princeton finished the game shooting 39.7% from the floor, and outrebounded Fairfield 35-25.

Led by Sole Williams and LaSonja Hill with 11 and 10 points respectively, the bench outscored the Indians 26-8.

Defensively, the Lady Vikings forced 24 turnovers, and had 13 steals.

Princeton returns to action on Wednesday, January 8th at home against the Middletown Middies. Tip off is scheduled for 7:15 PM.
