Boys Basketball Holds Off Springfield, 74-70

The Princeton boys varsity basketball team defeated Springfield High School 74-70 on Tuesday, January 21st at Princeton High School. The Vikings improve to 11-4 on the season, and have won 10 of their last 11 games.

Princeton had a strong night shooting the basketball. They finished the game with a 48.3 shooting percentage.

Led by Deairius Randle's 19 points, the Vikings had four of its five starters in double-digit scoring.

Randle finished the game with a game high 5 assists to go along with 4 rebounds.

Bowen Hardman scored 17 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor. Randle and Hardman each connected on 3 three-pointers. As a team, Princeton was 8-of-17 from behind the arc.

Sterling Berkhalter finished the night with 14 points and 7 rebounds, and Greg Johnson added 13 points. He also added 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, and 1 block.

Defensively, Princeton forced 9 turnovers and 5 steals. Princeton won the battle of the boards, out rebounding Springfield 29-24.
