The Princeton Lady Vikings basketball team won their 10th straight game after defeating the Colerain Cardinals 63-31 on Saturday, January 11th at Colerain High School. Princeton improves to 10-3 overall, and 7-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.
The Lady Vikings jumped out to a 16-7 first quarter lead, and took a 30-13 lead into the locker room. Princeton extended its' 17-point lead by scoring 26 points in the fourth quarter.
Ashley Davis scored a game-high 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the floor, including connecting on 3-of-4 behind the arc. Davis currently ranks third in the Greater Miami Conference with a 49.5 field goal percentage. She added 3 steals, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds.
Willow White scored 15 points on 6-of-18 shooting, while her defense set the tone. She finished the game with a game and season- high 7 steals. The Lady Vikings finished the game with 22 steals. Princeton leads the GMC with 116 steals in conference action.
Sole Williams added 10 points and 5 steals. Kyla Oldacre had 11 rebounds and 9 blocks to go along with her 4 points. Diawna Carter-Hartley added 8 points and 6 rebounds off the bench.
Defensively, Princeton forced 37 turnovers and limited the Cardinals to 28 percent shooting from the floor. During conference play, the Lady Vikings have currently held the opposition to a league-low 31.5 shooting percentage.
