Follow-Up on Lady Track & Field Vikings Winning Districts

District Results

The Princeton girls track and field program scored 103 points to win the District Championships on Friday, May 17th at Mason High School.

Reese Riep picked up a pair of second-place finishes in the 100 and 200 meter dash. Shavaz Brown also posted a top four finish in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.68 seconds.

Madison Jenkins finished runner- up in the 400 meter dash with a time of 58.01 seconds. In the 300 meter hurdles, Darian Braddix placed third overall.

Maria Kaylor finished in third place in the 3200 meter run, and Keniya Dexter placed fourth in the 800 meter run.

In the field events, Madison Roshelle won the long jump event with a final jump of 17-08.25 ft. Trenity McDaniel will join the other Vikings at Regionals in Shot Put with a final toss of 31-06.50 ft.

The Lady Vikings had a strong showing in the relay events. Princeton won the 400 meter relay (Rencher, Jordan, Riep, Thompson), 800 meter relay (Thompson, Jordan, Braddix, Jenkins), and the 1600 meter relay (Braddix, Riep, Jordan, Jenkins). The Lady Vikings' 3200 meter relay (Dexter, Lemker, Stinson, Kaylor) placed fourth overall.

The Regional Championships will get underway Wednesday, May 22nd at Dayton Wayne High School.
