The Princeton Track and Field program hosted the Spurlock Track and Field Classic on Saturday, April 6th at Viking Stadium. The Lady Vikings scored 154 points to take first place as a team. The boy's team scored 83 combined points to place fourth overall.
In the field events, Trenity McDaniel tossed 84-04.00 ft. to place third in girls' discuss, and tossed 27.08.50 ft. in the shot put to finish fourth overall.
Kassie Jordan won the girls' high jump with 4-10 feet, and Jacqui Hinesmom placed second overall. Kassie also won the 200m dash with a time of 25.93.
In the boy's high jump, Robert Rutherford and Micah Thomas finished third and fourth overall with jumps of 5-10 and 5-8 feet respectively.
Princeton continued its' strong performances in the running events. Elaina Thompson won the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.78. Destinee Rencher won in the 100m dash (12.46), and Madison Jenkins placed first in the 400m dash with a time of 58.27. Keniya Dexter finished in fourth place in the 400m dash.
Kevin Suttles finished in third place in the 100m dash with a time of 11.37 seconds, and Hosea Hairston placed fourth overall in the 400m dash with a time of 52.24.
In the 300 meter hurdles, Jazmyne Bennett and Joe Mitchell each placed fifth overall with times of 50.91 and 42.75 seconds. During the long distance runs, Grace Abrams and Jalen Turner both finished in fifth place in the 1600m run. Abrams also placed fifth in the 800m run.
Jade Stinson ran the 800m run in 2:36.26 to finish in fourth place. Micah Gray was third in the 800m run with a time of 2:01.86.
The Lady Vikings won the 3200, 1600, and the 800 meter relays. On the men's side, the Vikings' 800 meter relay was runners-up, and the 400 and 1600 meter relays finished in third place.
