The Princeton Lady Vikings track and field team won the Ross Invitational on Friday, April 26 at Ross High School. The Lady Vikings scored 137 points during the meet.
Maria Kaylor won the 3200 meter run and finished in second place in the 1600 meter run with times of 11:18.22 and 5:26.14 respectively.
Elaina Thompson came in first place in the 100 meter hurdles (16.91) and placed fifth overall in the 300 meter hurdles. Also rounding out the top ten in the event was Aalaura Miller, finishing in sixth place.
In the 200 meter dash, Shavaz Brown and Kassie Jordan finished in first and second place with times of 25.99 and 26.10 respectively. Brown also placed third in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.90.
Reese Riep placed second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.72.
The 400 meter dash was led by Jade Stinson with a third place finish in a time of 1:04.46.
Keniya Dexter had a very strong run in the 800 meter run, finishing in second place with a time of 2:24.97.
Princeton continued its' strong performances in the relay events. The Lady Vikings won the 4x800 meter relay, 4x200 meter relay, and the 4x100 meter relay. Princeton also placed second in the 4x400 meter relay.
Kierra Morris led the field events with a first place finish in the high jump (5-00), and fifth place finish in the long jump (14-00).
Princeton travels to Hamilton on Tuesday, April 30th to compete at the Hamilton Blue Heaven Track and Field Invitational. Competition begins at 4:00pm.
