The Princeton Lady Vikings basketball team improved their win streak to seven games after defeating Winton Woods 61-31 on Saturday, December 28th at Viking Arena. Princeton is now 7-3 overall, and 4-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.
Princeton jumped out to a 22-3 first quarter lead and would not look back. The Lady Vikings showcased a great balance attack on offense all game. Princeton converted 16-of-28 field goals in the first half on 14 assists.Â
The offense for the Warriors had a very difficult time against Princeton's defense. The Warriors had 14 turnovers in the first half, and 21 total turnovers.
Ashley Davis and Diawna Carter-Hartley led the scoring with 12 points.Â
Davis finished the game shooting 5-for-7 from the floor, including 2-for-4 from behind the arc. Princeton shot 8-of-11 from the three-point line.
Carter-Hartley was 6-of-8 from the floor, and led all players with 9 total rebounds.Â
As a team, the Lady Vikings made 25 field goals on 19 assists. LaSonja Hill connected on 3-three pointers to finish with 9 points, and Sole Williams added 8 points. All ten players reached the scoring column.
