Boys Basketball Wins in Thriller 70-68

Senior DeAirius Randle knocked down a step-back three pointer in the final seconds to lift the Vikings over the St. Xavier Bombers 70-68 on Saturday, November 30th. Princeton improved to 1-0 on the season, and Coach Steve Green recorded his first varsity win for the Vikings.

Princeton erupted for 21-first quarter points as the Vikings found great success beating the St. Xavier's press. The Vikings took a 37-33 lead into halftime.

Offensively, Khalil Davis led all scorers with 22 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the floor. He had 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 block.

Randle scored 17 points off the bench on 6-of-10 shooting. His lone three-pointer proved to be the difference in the game. St. Xavier would make a threat in the final seconds, but Rodney Harris came up with a huge defensive play to seal the win.

Princeton had 7 different players enter the scoring column. Sterling Berkhalter finished with 9 points, Bowen Hardman scored 8 points, and Greg Johnson finished with 7 points.

Princeton's bench outscored St. Xavier 24-18.

Defensively, the Vikings forced 10 turnovers, 7 steals, and 5 blocks.

The Vikings open up Greater Miami Conference play on Friday, December 6th at Lakota East High School. Varsity tip-off is set for 7:30 PM.
