Lady Vikings Basketball Defeats Lakota East 58-42

The Princeton Lady Vikings basketball team defeated the Lakota East Thunderhawks 58-42 on Monday, December 9th at Princeton High School. The Lady Vikings improve to 2-3 overall, and 1-1 in the Greater Miami Conference.

Princeton set the tone early, outscoring the Thunderhawks 18-4 in the first quarter. The Lady Vikings' defense was sensational, limiting Lakota East to 26 percent shooting from the floor in the game.

Offensively, freshman Sole Williams led the scoring with 12 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the floor. She added 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist.

Senior Ashley Davis scored 10 points on 4-of-7 shooting, and Willow White added 8 points.

Princeton received great contributions from its' bench, outscoring Lakota East 22-9.

Defensively, Princeton forced 18 turnovers and had 13 steals. The Lady Vikings outrebounded the Thunderhawks 31-27.
