The Princeton men's basketball team snapped its' two game skid with a 56-34 win over the Sycamore Aviators on Tuesday, January 29th at Princeton High School. The Vikings improve to 11-5 overall, and 8-3 inside the Greater Miami Conference.
Princeton's defense created havoc out of the gate and the offense jumped out to an early 12-5 first quarter lead. The Vikings showcased great transition play that extended its' first half lead to 11 points. Princeton outscored Sycamore in the second half 30-19.
Coach Wright's stingy defense recorded 10 steals and forced the Aviators to commit to 21 turnovers. Sycamore finished the game 12-of-40 from the field, and 1-9 from behind the arc.
Princeton has recorded 92 steals in conference play, which is atop the league.
Offensively, Khalil Davis led the scoring with 12 points and had 3 assists. Jahiem Thomas added 10 points and grabbed down 5 rebounds.
Sterling Berkhalter scored 11 points, and Bowen Hardman knocked down two 3-three pointers to finish with 8 points.
As a team, Princeton shot 47 percent from the floor.
Princeton travels to Hamilton (10-6, 7-4) on Friday, February 1st.
