The Princeton boys varsity basketball team defeated the Hamilton Big Blue 53-42 on Tuesday, December 11th at Princeton High School. The Vikings improve to 3-1 overall, and a 2-0 mark in the Greater Miami Conference.
Princeton jumped out to a 12-5 first quarter lead, and took a 12-point lead at the half.
Offensively, the Vikings shot 52 percent from the floor, and had three players reach double-digit scoring.
Jahiem Thomas recorded his first double-double of the season. He scored 13 points and pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.
Deairius Randle led the scoring for Princeton with 17 points off 7-of-10 shooting from the floor.
Khalil Davis knocked down three 3-pointers to finish with 14 points.
Defensively, Princeton out-rebounded the opposition 31-19. They forced the Big Blue to shoot under 30 percent from the floor.
Hamilton, led by D'Marco Howard's game high 23 points, outscored Princeton 16-7 in the third quarter. Coach
Steve Wright and the Vikings responded by scoring 21 fourth quarter points to secure the win.
Princeton returns back to action on Friday, December 14th as they host the Middletown Middies.
